mercy triumphs!

I've got the afternoon off!
My wonderful mother-in-law has whisked away my child for a few hours and I am loving it!
I had a Melaleuca party and now I'm just sitting at the computer, the windows are open (it's a BEAUTIFUL Fall day!) and my heart is humming with excitement and gratitude of what the Lord is doing in my life.

Firstly, any time I am getting ready for my parties, I get so excited about Melaleuca products! I know it sounds totally lame, but this stuff is seriously awesome. [ notice the new page for my business partners! ] And then the actual party comes and I get to talk about how this stuff totally rocks... It's not a bad part-time gig. :)

Secondly, I am really grateful that God is working in me and changing me.

I have had several "I am going crazy here" moments lately. John is really a good kid... but he has his moments where he frustrates me to no end. And I let him know in not so nice ways. No, I don't beat him. But I do allow my emotions to run away with me. But, I just try to keep things real with God and with myself and Michael. There are moments where I feel so dark and beyond hope. But then, I am reminded that Father God delights in showing mercy and boy am I glad He does!!!! Thank you that mercy triumphs over judgement!! *ugh* Because, seriously, without His mercy, I would absolutely be a lost cause. I told God, "You've gotta teach me how to relax. Help me control my tongue. I want to be a good wife. I want to be a good mom. I don't want my men to hate me and I don't want to hate myself!" And He is so good, you know? He helps me.

I am grateful for the IHOP-KC webstream. I seriously live on that! I try to feed my spirit with the word and times where my spirit meets God. I remember that He is good. He is merciful. He is gracious! (Hey, that's what "John" means... God is gracious) So, thank you Father, for always being so incredulously good to me.

John and I playing with the phone one morning last week :)

I went shopping yesterday! Miracle of miracles, I actually bought MYSELF a shirt!
I got most of my Christmas shopping done.
There were some serious sales going on.
I don't play around, people. I get 'er done! haha

  1. I love you, Laura! You are a great mom, believe me. When I see you with John -- both you and Michael are one of the most patient parents I have seen :)
